about me

My name is Shannon, I’m 25 years old, born and raised in London. I live in a flat in London with my girlfriend and 3 cheeky cats - Twilight, Luna and Nala, who all mean the world to me. I absolutely adore animals, but at heart I am a massive crazy cat lady. We even rescued a Cyprus stray cat, Aphrodite, and we had her for a year before she passed in September 2025. Rescuing her was one of the best things I have ever done and would recommend it to anyone.

I have been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil (around 3/4 years old). Of course I have developed my skills since then, and now I specialise in highly detailed and realistic portraits. I strive to capture likeness, personality and emotion in my work - whether that be a beloved pet, a family portrait or a memorial piece. When creating personalised work, my aim is to bring your pets and loved ones to life through my art, for you to cherish forever.

Each portrait is entirely hand-drawn, which requires building many layers of graphite or coloured pencil to achieve depth, texture and realism.

I have always had a passion for drawing animals, not only because I love them, but they are genuinely fun to draw. Every animal is unique, and each animal has distinct markings and personalities which I love to capture in my artwork.

I enjoy creating in different styles and niches too, such as celebrities, graffiti art and more. These are usually sold as limited edition prints as well as the original work - feel free to have a browse through my portfolio to see my full range of work.

what materials do I use?

I always use the highest quality materials on the market. This is because better quality materials lead to better quality artwork and this is what I strive to achieve in each and every piece. My favourite brands of pencils and equipment to use are Faber Castell and Caran d’Ache. The paper I use varies, but I lean towards Strathmore paper and Fabriano Artistico, as they are thick and allow for many layers. Sometimes I reach out and draw on different materials such as canvas board, mount boards and eventually I wish to do a few projects on wood and walls too.

All of my pencil work is also sprayed with a fixative aerosol spray - this solidifies the pencil onto the paper, and ensures that no smudging or dust collects on the paper. This ensures that the artwork lasts for a lifetime and does not diminish in colour or quality.
